“The RTPI has cultivated my career from the early stages into my now senior position within the industry. I first joined the RTPI in 2016 as an Intern Project Officer, while studying for my MSc in Planning. 6 months later I was promoted to Policy and Networks Advisor and 17 months later, promoted to Policy and Practice Officer.

I have held several voluntary positions within the Institute, including a licentiate member of the Scottish Executive Committee and a corporate member of the board of the trustees. My current position is within the senior management team, with key responsibilities in delivering the Institute’s objectives.

My professional growth has been supported with great access to resources, framed by a supportive culture and a clear sense of organisational purpose.”
